Up hill and down dale, in the heart of the Massif and through the valleys, in the meadows and fields, on hillsides and along footpaths, by lakesides and on mountain ridges, by waterfalls and streams, the landscape unfolds its shades of greens and blues and will fulfil all your fantasies for escape: take full advantage of this haven of tranquillity in the peaceful Parc Naturel Régional des Ballons des Vosges. |

Our Département is a place for escape and freedom and can be discovered from horseback and on bikes, from Vosges farms to guesthouses and Lorraine villages. For amateurs of watersports, initiations to canoeing, kayaking and rafting are regularly organised with qualified staff, as well as trips down the Canal de l’Est, from lock to lock.
You should note that the Vosges have an enormous, rich and varied environment for fishing (854 rivers and 8 large lakes), with crystal clear rivers ideal for trout, salmon, white fish and predator fish. |

Epinal, regional capital of the Vosges, is situated between thermal spas and the Vosges Massif. The town bustles with touristic and commercial activity, with its town centre and numerous shops, the remains of its external defensive fortifications and above all its Images, whose fame transcends both time and place.
Wandering along the Moselle, in the Parc du Cours or in the Roseraie Gardens, you will marvel at the wonderful floral compositions, in clusters and in hanging baskets, confirming its reputation as one of Europe's finest towns in bloom.
The Basilique Saint-Maurice, the 16th and 18th century canonical houses, the ruins of the castle and mediaeval towers around it, the museums, the Place des Vosges, Notre Dame au Cierge and its huge stained-glass window in the chancel are just some of the attractions that you will enjoy exploring. |
